I had never been to Cambodia, but Angkor Wat has been on my bucket list for years.
Originally I wasn’t going to travel to Cambodia from Thailand but after seeing how close I was going to be once I left Koh Chang and realizing it’s a popular route to take from the island……………..My decision was made!
It was going to be a quick trip just into Siem Reap and the surrounding areas as I only had one week. My priority was to see the famous Angkor Wat complex! So I booked an Intrepid Tours Urban Adventure as it would allow me to fit as much as I could into a small time frame and get a bit of knowledge and insight along the way. If you have more time there are plenty of tour operators and guides in Siem Reap or you can just take a remork ( Cambodian Tuk Tuk ) out on day trips.
